Maine Retirement Homes maintains this independent informational directory. We are not a care provider, admissions service, government agency, or representative of the facilities listed here. Inclusion in the directory is not an endorsement.
Where the information comes from
Nursing-home records come from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Assisted-housing licensing records come from Maine DHHS via Maine ALMS. Each facility page identifies its source and links to the relevant public record service.
Where a family-facing website or phone number has been checked against an official facility or operator source, we identify it separately from the licensing contact. We review reported corrections against authoritative evidence before changing directory facts.

What the directory cannot tell you
Licensed or certified beds describe capacity, not current openings. Public records do not establish current prices, staffing, all available services, or whether a home can meet a particular person’s needs. Verify those details with the facility and relevant public agencies.
CMS quality ratings apply to the nursing-home records that report them. They are not customer reviews or a shared rating system for all care settings. This site does not replace professional advice or a facility visit.
How the site is supported
Some directory and guide pages display Google AdSense advertisements. Ads are separate from listing information and do not buy changes to official facts or a facility’s placement in the directory. About/Contact, Privacy, and correction pages do not display ads. Read our Privacy Policy for information about analytics and advertising.

For a listing correction, use “Report incorrect information” on the facility’s page, or open the form below and enter its name. Include an official public source when possible.
You can also send a website question through the private form: enter “Website” as the facility and choose “Other.” Your name and email are optional; include an email if you would like a follow-up.
Messages go to the directory maintainer, not to a care facility. Contact facilities directly about admissions, visits, pricing, or availability. Do not send medical records, health details, financial information, or other sensitive personal information. This inbox is not an emergency service.
